1950’s Bungalow alteration

This existing modest house hinted at its modernist roots but these were heavily concealed by typical suburban finishes and blunt detailing. This project was an exercise in revealing the mid-century modern spirit of the dwelling by introducing a seamless extension that added height, light and open-plan living, and simplifying the material palette and with carefully considered details.
